Gimme Three Steps
A few days prior to leaving the USA to live in Tehran, Iran for a while, our family had to make a run to Tulsa and Oklahoma City to receive a mixed battery of vaccinations before we would be allowed to board a plane speeding over the vast body of water called the Atlantic Ocean.
As I listened for the first time to the song playing on the 1967 Boneville station wagon's tin-toned AM radio, the hook was obvious and the story it told was scary hilarious: Lynyrd Skynyrd's Gimme Three Steps. I imagined some cover art for the album containing the song.

I had no idea it was based on actual happenstance in a beer joint called The Little Brown Jug. I just knew I really liked it and wanted to hear it again. But that didn't happen until a year later upon return to the states to wrap up my compulsory K-12 public school education, and preparing to become canon fodder in the Vietnam War not long after that achievement.
As luck would have it, Nixon nixed compulsory service in far away jungles before I turned 18. So began my fantasies of becoming a rock and roll star living the dream like Lynyrd Skynyrd.
