Of Childhood Dreams

I have always liked what Albert Einstein advised about nuturing a child's world perspective:

Never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born.

I like to extend that way of thinking by striving never to totally abandon childhood dreams. Here on the new homestead parcel is a lot of raw stone I dream about putting to good use. Maybe using it to build a winding stone walking wall with arches over the stream's flow path.

A feature to enjoy on daily walks through the woods together with rescued companions.

This raw stone resource runs deep beneath the parcel in layers extending ten to fifteen feet down. If I was a half century younger than I am now, I might entertain construction of more.

Something much more substantial in which we could feel like true lords of our domain.

Stuff of childhood dreams, of course, but just as delightful to entertain as they've ever been.
