My AI Bands

Updated: 13 hours ago

As a teen, I dreamed of becoming a rock star. Having since learned what a hard way of life that would have been, I don't regret not making it a reality. Now as my second childhood rapidly ramps up, modern technology is providing means for being a band creator/manager.

Tinkering with Gemini AI's full-length tunes and songs generation tool just released today, I'm starting a project to create works for what I'm thinking of as five distinct musical styles performed by five distinct AI-generated bands. First results are promising, making me feel like a music mogul in my own mind. This first band called Whisky & Coffee, is not at all bad.

Their debut, an Irish reel: The Pier At Dawn

This band moves out to the quay where brute strength is mandatory: Kings Of The Quay

Premiering with their song: From The Quay To The Bar

Sticking with my ancient tribal roots stretching back to the Celts, this AI band is Selki Fowk

Introducing their first tune: First Light Upon The Glen

I started hitchhiking in 1970 when the prospect of being drafted and dropped in a foreign jungle to die watching my entrails spilled out between my legs with tendrils of steam rising seemed to be my fate unless I made a dash into north country where the forestlands are vast.

This band is called Slick 66 playing Where The River Runs Wide

This last one was an experiment in country/western music which isn't my favorite genre, but...heh, and keeping with C/W traditions, it's a ripoff of the previous rock song by Slick 66.

The Blacktop Buckaroos: performing Where The Pavement Ends

So these five bands and their works emerged during today's session with Gemini AI's Music tool before burning through my quota until tomorrow morning. It was a fun session, producing nothing at all atrocious, by my amatuer measure, and these tunes are all going to end up on my playlist, except for the C/W ripoff, that is. It's just not a preferred musical style.

All tunes and songs generated in this project are freely downloadable from the music page.
