Wood gathering began a few days ago as cleaning of fallen aspen began along the south bank of the creek last week. Decided to go with a 16 ft diameter holz hausen this year, starting the first ring layer with some of the aspen. A time of intense physical effort, it should be finished sometime around the end of August and my body toned up again before fall and winter laziness and comfort food feasting slowly but surely undoes all of that. Another cycle.
