A little rain before this first snow of November broke a short dry spell that allowed fall fragrances to permeate the canyon air. Aerosols stirred by the rain accentuated them. Now winter is making its moves and all is ready. Firewood is fully seasoned. Larder is stocked to last until late spring. Projects are lined up to occupy time not spent wandering in wilderness.
Snows discourage anyone from coming up here and I'm not going anywhere requiring roads.
