Time Enough?

Time and careful, steady processes required to gradually, gently transform this homestead parcel into the sustainable food forest it will be are underway. The looming question is whether or not the next few decades ahead will be enough to be prepared when society's decline achieves critical mass. Its aged, rotting infrastructure is failing now before our eyes.

Polycrisis is at hand in the USA. Institutional trust is practically nil. Information is hyper-polarized and deliberately fragmented for leveraging to nefarious purposes. Regulatory systems have been overcomplicated to degrees of inflexibility, allowing resource allocations to be directed more exclusively toward the elite. Classic institutional decay and trust erosion.

As havoc of failing society inevitably ramps up, there's no point expending more effort on it.

Best to stay away from it all and tend to resources and processes sustaining life here instead.
