Thematic Tuning III
Being accepted into NTSU's coveted school of music guitar program was ideal for choosing new theme music. Pink Floyd's The Wall had just been released and I bought a copy at Voertman's Book Store the first day living on campus. But that wasn't the album of choice for the theme music of that exciting learning era, instead I fell back to the album of choice which had been released the semester I started college, Wish You Were Here, which was perfect. It tempered my expectations of what a profession in music might bring about to realistic level.

And as much as I loved to fall into the trance, play, and emerge from the trance to applause from an appreciative audience, I never lost sight of how difficult it would be to make a living as a working musician. I suspected that if I did make it big that the business of it all and the lifestyle of an internationally-touring star would very likely consume me and shorten my life.
