Sleepy Again Without The Tryptophan

Wild turkey came near this still morning, emerging from the oaks beyond the wind turbine.

Something about the sight of wild turkey browsing meadow's edge can instill deepened peace and contentment nothing else can. Spotted these just as I was waking this morning and immediately felt need for more sleep. After snapping a few photos, that's just what I did.

This morning a big Tom was with the hens, possibly having already established his harem. He chased them around and out into the meadow.

They vocalized and dashed about, agitated as he worked them, making sure they all knew they were his, and only his.

Setting them all a-flap.

What a turkey.
