Phase Shift

After a good rain and the murky water has flowed downhill, I like to sit beside a creek, relax and slowly phase shift out of a world going too fast to enjoy it all at a slower rate of speed. It isn't that difficult to do. Being able to invoke strabismus in one or both eyes helped me achieve the shift by making the world sort of visually shift askew. Now I can do it straight-eyed within a few seconds to watch everything flowing smoothly slower and more deliberate.

Today the effect even persisted after walking up out of the creek bottom where a belligerent wood bee decided to threaten me for venturing too close to its drill site in a nearby timber.
