Leap Day Croaker

Just heard a frog croaking down at the pond which is just beginning to fill from first thin trickle of high country ice and snowmelt. First time I’ve heard one in February up here, even if it is a Leap Day. Another possible sign of an early spring, officially still twenty days remaining to arrive.
