Getting Out

Shortly before the convicted felon in the White House decided to unjustifiably wage war, there were reports from Tehran that the city was rapidly running out of water, and that the nation's capitol might possibly have to be relocated. I suspect this was part of the reason for the attack to begin sooner than later. A relocated capitol might end up stronger and more difficult to conquer. More wear and tear on old bone spurs and other such debilitations, too.

I imagine the highways out of the city were promptly jammed by people wise to the ways of dictators and wannabe dictators throwing their tantrums against each other. It makes me wonder if any camel caravans quietly departed the city, too, making their way to safer lands even as the destruction was underway. Better to be far away from a target than trapped in it.

With reports of expatriated Americans stranded in the middle east as this all unfolds while state department staff designated to help such stranded citizens are firmly sitting on their thumbs, I wonder if any of them are choosing to join any caravans which are now getting out.
