I've been hearing these singing all season but it's been decades since actually seeing one. They climb the trees and sing up there which made me think at first they were some kind of bird. First spotted one nonchalantly adhering to a vertical glass surface about fifty years ago.
I think it's a brown version of the Gray Tree Frog (Hyla versicolor). So happy to see one again.
