Droning On

One thing I expect to see happening in a decade or less from now is drone deliveries to and from the food forest. This is technology I'm looking forward to but isn't essential as long as UPS and FedEx and (ugh) USPS are still operating by that time. They've all three saved me countless hours and miles driving to and fro purchasing and transporting goods and materials I used to have to hunt down at brick and mortar stores–a convenience I depend on.

Whether it's pickup service from food forest lanes or from a designated target platform . . .

. . . I'm all for it if it keeps me from having to drive around doing it myself the inefficient way.

Having already leveraged drone technology to advantage making my case for compensations from the Hermit's Peak Fire Assistance Act fund after FEMA attempted to commit fraud against me in typical incompetent fashion to minimize payout, I'm a devoted fan of the handy little devices. And if battery technology emerging soon has any positive effect extending drone flight times, it will only get better. Who knows, maybe I'll have a personal protection drone following me around everywhere I go before I'm too old to move.
