The pandemic rages on, having no effect on daily life here. Even without it, activities here would not include venturing into towns for any reason until springtime. Influenza season is ramping up now alongside the first of many more coronavirus seasons to come. Vaccinations for them both will become part of our annual routine. I wonder how many annual vaccines we'll need before the day of my demise. I wonder if my demise will come via viral infection.
I hope not. A fast, lethal heart attack while out hiking on a fine day like today would be best.
