I've always loved bagpipe music. So I bought a cheap set and tried to learn to play them by going to remote places where people were unlikely to hear me practicing and wailing away at it. My playing was really bad, though.
So I quit the pipes. Took up pennywhistle and Irish flute. I'm no virtuoso on pennywhistle but not horrible at it. Still working on Irish flute. It requires almost as much breathing stamina as bagpipes do.
