Found this little beauty while cutting a standing dead pine for firewood yesterday.

Found it at about 8700 ft elevation on the edge of the forest while felling a dead pine.

Having trouble finding out what it is, but it doesn't really matter. Seeing is satisfying enough.

Its blossoms are larger on vines at higher elevations (9000 ft or more).

And they're opening wider up there too.

Some even take on color.
