There's always plenty of color around here regardless of season, but having grown up looking at a lot of black-and-white photos of this area and dreaming of returning someday for longer visits I sometimes enjoy losing the color for nostalgic effect.
Places like this are scattered in pockets of nearby land between here and Hermit Peak along small rivers and streams. Even in black-and-white they are inviting scenes producing deeply soothing sensations.
