Semiquincentennial Sham

The approaching America 250 celebrations ring especially hollow in light of this nation's current economic situation, never mind its current stature under "leadership" of a convicted felon hell-bent on profiting from it in any way imaginable while pretending all is hunky-dory.

AI generated,

With personal debt nearing or possibly already at the $20 trillion mark in the USA as this post is being written, with at least 5% of this total already in a state of delinquency, it's all too obvious that one hell of a big-bad-debt bubble is about to blow up in eveyone's face. Sooner than later, no matter what rosy pie-in-the-sky pictures the convicted felon in the White House attempts to paint for public consumption, it's all going to come crashing down.

Having stopped using credit at the turn of the century, building my homestead from the ground up entirely debt free, living on it debt free for almost two decades before the USFS burned it all to ash, and struggling now–still debt free–for more than four years to obtain fair and full compensations from FEMA for that loss, I feel good that living debt free, without using credit in any way for more than 25 years now has me well positioned to survive the inevitable shitstorm coming. I have no confidence in this nation's ability to weather it well. Too many people will end up on the streets homeless, penniless and without any prospects.
