Promises Promises

It isn't difficult to recall previous government administrations that promised so much and delivered so little. This one headed up by a convicted felon for the first time ever is no exception. And while it's aggravating to have to endure the same old same old every time another liar is voted into the highest office of the land, its no surprise after voting nine times now for an honest person to lead the USA. Maybe it's because this nation was built, layer upon layer, of nothing but empty promises and lies from the first moment it flexed its might.

And it has definitely flexed its might, soundly eliminating all internal resistance from the pesky indigenous peoples originally occupying the vast wilderness that is now a bustling, extensively paved-over monstrosity of landmass. Ah well, this liar too shall pass, and another will be ready to pick up the standard of self-serving deception, with its own vile form of vigor.

The key to surviving this long succession of deceptive leaders is to stay alert, and very aware.
