With 3.5 cords stacked, afternoon thunderstorms have halted wood gathering work for a while. Too much wind in the forest is as dangerous as lightning strikes on these high-altitude slopes can be. That's fine with me. Every bit of additional moisture falling here is welcome. Plenty of warm weather time left in the season to finish the remaining 30% of work later.
After resting here through the night, Mys & Tery have moved on, disappearing back into the forest while I was gathering a load of wood early yesterday morning. My kind of visitors, staying only briefly and leaving nothing but a pleasant memory.
