I've been thinking about adopting a burro as a friend and hiking companion. From what I've read about them they are great at avoiding risky situations and can help me survive in the wilderness if I pay attention to them. Hiking alone is something I thoroughly enjoy but I have walked into a few bad situations a burro would probably have sensed and refused to follow.
And, they talk funny.
