Black Monolith

I've been braving Wormhole Space in Eve Online in a cloakless little ship with a fat cargo hold called a Magnate. The game creators have come up with a lot of interesting things to look at. Complex structures in space and cool spaceships of various forms and functions to explore in. My favorite sight so far, though, is a simple black monolith I got to hack last night.

My hack was successful. Loot was good. Memories of seeing 2001 a Space Odyssey fifty years ago bubbled up to trigger those strange, pleasantly wrenching sensations of unbidden nostalgia. Rest in peace, Aurthur C. Clarke.
